AI Literacy for Education Leaders
CITE’s AI Academy has empowered NYCPS building and district leaders across the city with the skills to lead their communities with confidence and clarity in the age of AI.
CITE is excited to invite you and your leaders to AI Literacy for Education Leaders, a full-day in-person AI intensive on Wednesday, July 15, 2026, from 9:00 AM to 2:30 PM ET at CSA Headquarters, 40 Rector Street, 12th Floor, New York, NY.
This session is open to all NYC building and district leaders and offers 5 CTLE credits.
Register here: https://forms.gle/qb3Zy69CKpNrTm9e9
Space is limited – register now to reserve your seat.
POs and payments are not processed until July 1 (the start of the new fiscal year), so registering today holds your spot at no cost until then.
Secure your seat first, handle the paperwork when the 2026-2027 fiscal year opens.
Our core belief is that AI doesn’t replace leadership; it helps leaders think faster and act earlier.
Participants will complete a brief AI leadership self-assessment and be placed into one of two groups:
Beginner AI Leadership Skills: Foundational modeling and guided practice for leaders new to AI
Developing AI Leadership Skills: Higher-level analytical, supervisory, and strategic applications for leaders ready to go deeper
By the end of the session, Building Leaders and District Administrators will be able to:
- Lead more efficiently without losing instructional focus using the AI Sandwich Strategy and other transferable skills
- Move from reactive to proactive leadership by applying AI to attendance, scheduling, supervision, and communication
- Strengthen supervision, feedback, and coaching by using AI to draft observation notes and identify instructional trends
- Model deeper learning as a leader by using AI as a thought partner for critical thinking and leadership decisions
- Translate NYCPS and NYS AI guidance into school-specific, actionable leadership practices to turn policy into action
We look forward to seeing you on July 15th, and feel free to share this within your professional networks.
Respectfully,
Brett Roer
CITE Sr. Director of AI, Innovation, and PD
